"deserve" is loaded. implies a lot of stuff. on the other hand, in relation to God's love, we can never earn nor deserve what He has given us so freely. that is what truly is amazing--that God LOVES ME when I really don't deserve for Him to even look my way. But He does, because of His boundless grace--simply because I am His child! And my tummy doesn't have to look like hers! Now THAT'S LOVE.
